Black Plague or Orwell or No Vision

A disease from the past
Rats were the first origin
Its wreckage great and vast
Against it there’s no win
Vision is quickly lost
We stumble on blindly
With great human life cost
Does not treat us kindly
CHORUS:
The Black Plague Renewed
Corruption it spewed
Orwell warned us all
This will be our fall
All ask for sights return
Look to leaders for hope
They’re lost in the cavern
In the darkness they grope
No one sees the future
Blackness is all that grows
Eating those with power
Laid down in even rows
CHORUS
Light was still to be seen
This plague we planned to rid
On this thought we were keen
We would find the pot’s lid
The search did start off quick
Little luck these men had
The disease we must lick
What we saw was not glad
CHORUS (2x)

Bizarre

BIZARRE or KNICK KNACK

The last dance to attend
Prior feelings to mend
Sort of ready to end
Reality to bend
CHORUS:
A dance gone whack
Of strange no lack
Bizarre knick-knack
No going back
Hippies under a tree
Bonsai it looked to me
More weirdness awaits thee
Said my best friend Lee

Pyrotechnics inside
By a pool with a tide
No dance to be denied
Lee still had never lied
CHORUS
A love triangle that’s new
Cows there just for their moo
Synchronized swimming too
What wasn’t there to do?

‘Edmund Fitzgerald’ dude
Good thing no one was nude
The DJ was not booed
A great time sure ensued
CHORUS
A huge game of Red Rover
It could be heard in Dover
Too quick it was over
Never more fun with her
CHORUS (2x)

Kamikaze Bird

Swooping from the rooftops
Diving at the shadows
Avoiding all the cops
Dealing out the death blows
(CHORUS)
Into battle he flies
His loins he did gird
No worries if he dies
He’s Kamikaze Bird
Tying his head band
Protecting his honor
Leaving his home land
Coming at you like a bomber
CHORUS
Soaring through the skies
Guarding his borders
Awaiting his demise
Watching out for burglars
Flapping his great wings
Seeking his poor prey
Doing deeds for kings
Living day by day
CHORUS
Ruling all the air
Helping those in need
Saving his own mayor
Begging to just bleed
Diving from above
Causing his great death
Doing it for love
Taking his last breath
CHORUS (2x)

Be Safe

Walk like a duck, do not slip
Use hand rails, when using stairs
If your hands are in your pockets you’ll trip
You’ll get pink gloves, they come in pairs
No screwdrivers without proper training
Stop work is called, you’re flustered
Don’t use the ladder either, you’ll be crying
Everything has requirements before your trained
Be Safe Beeeeee Safe
Guard Against man eating machines
Be safe Beeeeee Safe
Safety haunts my day dreams
Remember hand safety and stress hands
Safe crane operation is uplifting
Someone needs to come free these bands
Wait! No one has proper training

One safe act will lead to another
That’s what the sign reads
Why start? It’ll be a big bother
More safety is just what it needs

Don’t forget JDLR- who could?
Just Doesn’t Look Right- ingrained
Said so much it’s there past should
Helps keep safe- but only when trained
CHORUS

And I Forgot The Words

I got up on stage
The bright lights on my face
People looking- like I’m in a cage
Suddenly one swings a large mace
I begin to remember
I continue with the song
People about to dismember
I won’t last very long

CHORUS: And I forgot the words
The words are no longer there
They flew from my mind like birds
And no one seemed to care

It’s a good thing I played jazz
I learned how to improvise
So now I can make up pizazz
And still look in your eyes

The song is long gone
What was once there is no more
Like a freshly mowed lawn
Strewn all over, a great big chore

CHORUS

The crowd is confused
What just happened?
‘He’s lost it’ one mused
This show was poorly captained

It comes to a close
It lived a life all it’s own
Running all over like a cold nose
In the distance there is a moan
CHORUS (2x)

The Hill on Which I Stood

 They call me a rebel
A cowboy that breaks rules
This may be my farewell
I will defeat these fools

 Outcast by my people
I had fought for the right
Thrown from my own castle
I strove to find the light

The hill on which I stand
All things come to an end
On this hill I was banned
Some would call it legend

 Years I lived in secret
Waiting for the right time
My path had long been set
Lost to Fate’s every whim

 No vict’ry could be seen
A glorious defeat
Feeling strangely serene
There would be no retreat

The hill on which I stand
All things come to an end
On this hill I was banned
Some would call it legend

 The enemy will fear
I’ll strike hard at their hearts
But for those I held dear
The wounds my blade imparts

The end I now see clear
This tunnel’s light I found
Do not cry, instead cheer
By no chains am I bound

The hill on which I stood
All things came to an end
Fighting for the great good
Some now call me legend

The hill on which I stood
All things came to an end
Fighting for the great good
Some now call me legend
